As followers of this blog know, at this time each year I do an audit of what I achieved this past year, pegged against what I said I wanted to achieve – and I set out what I hope to achieve the coming year.

How did I go? I did some, didn’t do some. Here’s what I wanted to achieve in 2018, and what I did achieve –

• PGS the movie will release globally and be a success.
  Yes it was released and yes it was / and is a success.
• Jennifer and I will travel and help market and promote the film.
  Yes, we traveled extensively, met some remarkable people, had many sell-out screenings.
• PGS the book will be published.
  Yes, I wrote and published PGS the book – an expansion on the film. It’s available here on Amazon – PGS the Book
• JOURNAL OF A JOURNEY – the book on the making of the film – will be published.
  NUP – didn’t get around to this one. The book is largely written – 120K words or so – it’s a big book – but it needs editing and this year I had other priorities.
• The first two PALACE OF FIRES books – INITIATE & UNHOLY – will be published by Penguin Random House to great commercial success!
  Yes – INITIATE was published in February, UNHOLY in September. INITIATE has gone into several reprints, and UNHOLY looks like it will go the same way. 
• I will complete and deliver the third in the PALACE OF FIRES series – BEAST – to Penguin Random House.
  Yes, I completed this on time – 104K words delivered by the end of October. It was a huge task to tie up all the narrative threads from the first two books, but BEAST promises to deliver a fitting (and suitably scary) ending to the trilogy.
• BUEN CAMINO, the feature film, will be cast and set for filming in 2019
  This didn’t happen, however the distributor in Australia, the sales company out of the US, and our co-producers in Spain now want me to make a film based on my Camino memoir, THE WAY, MY WAY, so I’ll be writing that this next year, and getting that off the ground.
• I will walk 3000kms from my front door to the end of the world.
  This didn’t happen either. I simply had no time, and quite frankly by the end of October when I was due to set off I was so knackered by the writing of BEAST, plus all the travel and stress of the earlier months, that I wasn’t able to do it. 

What do I have planned for this coming year – 2019?

• Continue the marketing and promotion of PGS the movie.
• Shift into the educational side of PGS, through workshops, and online training. 
• Write the screenplay of THE WAY, MY WAY – and begin casting and financing. 
• Complete the manuscript of the third in the Palace of Fires trilogy – BEAST.
• Penguin Random House will publish BEAST.
• I will write my next book, a thriller called Again, I Die.
• I will commence production on my theatrical feature documentary on fear. 

I’m not going to put my “Front Door” walk of 3,000kms on the list – if I have time, I’ll just do it. One day without any fuss I’ll simply walk out my front door. I would like to find the time, but I need about 4 months. 

I have interest from the Adult Commercial Fiction division of Penguin Random House for Again, I Die. They loved my treatment and now they want me to submit what’s called a “partial” – some chapters for them to consider. The pitch for Again, I Die is a cracker. 

Once again there’s a lot on my plate for this coming year, but I’m actually going to focus on doing one thing at a time, doing it as best I can, and finding time in amongst it all to relax, and think about things. 

My health this year is going to be a priority.

I’ve been screening my film PGS theatrically for the past twelve months, both in the US and Australia. And at almost every screening someone – sometimes more than one person – steps forward and tells me their own personal story about how a voice saved their life.

It happened the other night at a screening in Leichhardt, in Sydney. During the Q&A the photographer covering the event regaled the audience with an account of a voice that yelled at him while he was driving – he did exactly what the voice told him to do – and lives were saved. 

I now want to share with you an email I got from a lady named Lynne, who contacted me to tell me her story – and more.

Here now is part of the email that Lynne has given me permission to share:

Thought I’d quickly let you know I am another one of those people who has had a similar experience to you. I can’t remember the year now, it was early 2000s in Brisbane, driving down Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley early in the evening. I had a voice yell at me “Put the brake on NOW!!! Put the brake on NOW!!!” It was a voice, definitely not a thought.

Shocked, I immediately obeyed and as I did a man lurched from in front of a parked car on the side of the road. He was drunk or on drugs, totally out of it. I had already slowed down and now I really hit the brakes. If I hadn’t listened and acted I would have run him down and more than likely killed him. As the scene played out, I am thinking what the f…. is going on here.

Around about the same time I started having some precognitive dreams, some of which were profound, most mundane as well as other ‘noetic abilities’. This ‘noetic ability’ term I have since learned from IONs, – Institute of Noetic Sciences – with noetic meaning inner wisdom, direct knowing, or subjective understanding. Since then I have been on a path of trying to figure out what it’s all about. Along the way, I have learned that it takes time to discern who you can learn from.

Even though I haven’t read your book or watched your movie yet, I have just watched your youtube video with Michael Sandler and I really relate to what you say. Another thing that I have learned along the way is the difficulty in sharing such noetic experiences with others, as many are quick to judge and put you in the strange or loony category. 

So, the reason for telling you this is that I firmly believe we are coming to a point of our evolution (individual and collective) where there is the opportunity to raise awareness about such noetic things so that they become a recognised, validated and accepted part of life and that they are tools to get us to through to the next stage of evolution. And it is for this reason I really want to THANK YOU for the work you have done and are continuing to do creating such awareness. It is so needed and you evidently have the great practical skills to deliver it. Good upon you!

PGS the movie is coming online next week!

Ever since the film premiered at the Dendy Opera Quays in Sydney a year ago now, and then at the San Rafael Film Centre north of San Francisco in January of this year, audiences have been raving about the film.

Many have called it “life changing,” Caroline Myss – a legend in the field of intuition – called it “truly superb.” Paul Selig says the film is a “major contribution to the awakening of humanity.” Michael Tamura described it as “the finest film ever made on intuition.”

The film will only be available off the film’s website – and streaming only, to rent or buy. There will be Spanish and German subtitled versions – with more languages to follow. DVDs will be available next year.

The major reality of my life is that I am human. With all the failings and weaknesses and dreams and disappointments that come with being human. 

Why would I think I were not human? you might rightly ask.

Because for most of our lives, our human-ness does not call us to account. 

Lately, mine has. 

Here’s something I’ve just read that I want to share with you:

The witchdoctor succeeds for the same reason the rest of us doctors succeed. Each patient carries his own doctor inside him. They come to us not knowing this truth. We are at our best when we give the doctor who resides within each person a chance to go to work.

This quote is attributed to Albert Schweitzer, the physician best known for his work in French Equatorial Africa in the 50s. He also won though the Nobel Peace Prize for his philosophical piece, Reverence for Life. 

What is Reverence for Life? Here is how Albert Schweitzer describes it:

The ethical values that underpin the true ideals of civilisation.

It’s heady stuff. 

I got that quote above from an academic book I’m reading at the moment on shamanism. This is part of my research into the third book in the Palace of Fires trilogy, the final book being called Beast.

I have to deliver this manuscript to my publishers, Penguin Random House, by October 31st. 100,000 words, or thereabouts. In May, I decided that the only way I could do this was by starting June 1st, and writing 1,000 words a day for 100 days. 

Now, you may think that writing 1,000 words is no big deal. Believe me, when you’re writing a complex novel – the third in a series which has to bring everything, and every character, to a satisfying conclusion – and it has to be good writing, well, let me tell you, it’s a huge task. 

I set myself the goal of the end of September to complete the 100,000 words – and it’s the end of September and I’m at 97,685. I have probably another four or five days of writing to complete the manuscript. This then gives me all of October to do revisions, before handing it in on schedule. 

To that extent, it’s like walking a Camino. It’s best not to think about the gargantuan task of walking across the whole of Spain – just think where you’ll end up that night. How many kilometres you’ll need to walk a day to get to Santiago by a certain date.

That’s how I approached this writing task.
Day by day – through the power of incrementation.

In amongst it though I have been working solidly on PGS – with continual marketing and preparing for the upcoming online release, and also the release of the book of the film, which I will announce very soon.

The end result of this though is that I’m knackered – and I simply can’t face the immediate prospect of a long walk – my “Front Door” 3,000km walk which I had slated for November. 

I need to rest. 
I need to recover.
I can’t keep pushing myself like this.
I’ll fall over. 

So, that means I will have to reschedule my beloved walk to next year. 
And next year I want to begin production on my next film in the PGS trilogy: Fear Not.

It will look at fear, in all its aspects, and look at how we can live without it. I see it as a companion piece to PGS, and intuition. 

By the end of this year I will have had two 100,000 word books published by Penguin Random House, I will have written a third, I will have written and had published by Arcadia Press PGS – Intuition is your Personal Guidance System – the 50,000 word book of the film. I will have travelled for five solid months back and forth across the US attending screenings of PGS – and I will have overseen and marketed the online release of that film. 

A massive year.

I need a rest, before I embark on my next journey.

Unholy – the second book in the Palace of Fires trilogy, goes on sale on Monday, Sept 3rd.

According to my publishers Penguin Random House, the first book in the series, Initiate, has sold particularly well, requiring several additional reprints.

Anyone who read Initiate will want to read Unholy because the first book finished on a cliffhanger, and Unholy leads straight on from where Book1 finished.

On the broader front, we’re preparing for the online launch of PGS, which we’ll announce separately – and Jennifer and I are now starting to do PGS workshops around the country – teaching people how to tap into and use their intuition in a real world context.

Before making PGS the Movie, I didn’t believe in angels.

Now I do.

What changed?

I met people way smarter than me in this stuff who told me about angels, and how they work, and I began to sense their presence, and see first hand how they were helping me.

I got this letter today from a bloke I don’t know – a Professor – who saw my film via a good friend, Kurt Koontz, at a private screening in Costa Rica.

Here’s what he wrote –

My wife Paola and I met Kurt Koontz in Costa Rica this June and he invited us to a private screening of your movie about intuition. We sat in a yoga centre in the jungle of Costa Rica and watched the film quietly with about 30 other people that we did not know. During the film I noticed a level of discomfort that I was experiencing however I could not pinpoint what it was.

Driving home from the screening, I told my wife, “there is no such thing as angels”, and “intuition is over-rated, it’s all just confusing nonsense.  What you don’t know about me is that I have embraced my thinking mind more and more over the years.

I am University Professor and a researcher and seemed to have been pulled into my head without realizing that I was. In fact, I have become a sceptic, and after viewing the film felt the discoursing disconnection with my own intuition.

The same week as the movie screening I was asked by a yoga centre teacher if I’d like to come for a 3-hour meditation. This was my first meditation longer than 15 minutes. I reluctantly joined and two days after the screening found myself sitting in the same room and in the same exact location that I was sitting when I saw your film.

What happened next was completely unexpected. During the mediation, I felt three forceful pokes on my back. I spun around, and no one was there. In that moment, I was visited by two angels that surrounded me on my left and right. I felt a connection to god and the universe in that moment that I have never experienced before.

I am now fully embracing my intuition and give you credit for this newly discovered tool that I can use; my intuition. I flow through life now without planning and over thinking. I follow my intuition and allow it to lead us forward with grace, beauty and ease.
