    • Hey Abbey –

      lovely to hear from you!

What airline had their wing break???

It would be great to get get your thoughts on the tour too when you get the chance.

and yes, going to take it easy on the knee. Will start to do my own rehab and see how that goes.

Hope that flight is rescheduled soon,

      • Hi Bill

Its Singapore airlines. They are trying to get a new part from an air nz plane.

Yes will definitely provide some feedback on the tour. If I was ever to change careers it would be to become a camino guide. :0)

        • Huh –

Singapore airlines are usually very reliable!

I hope it gets fixed fast.

There are only so many stores selling merino wool that you can wander through at that airport!!

Oh, they might have a Hobbit section now too!

          🙂

          • Haha…funny you should say that…I was eyei g up some icebreaker. Haha. But as my packed weigh 13kg at check in…..buying anything else is a no no. Im going to be sending 2.5kg of that to ivar’s storage service. And then send about 3kg onto Pamplona. Shoes have been a mission for me. I have Five with me. Yikes! Its ridiculous. I had two pair that had a fault one after the other. …and only got a replacement yesterday afternoon. So I have bought my broken in old faithfuls and the new ones. I guess one good thing about the delay is I’m getting in some good walks in the new ones.

          • Are you flying through to Paris Abbey?

when do you actually start your Camino?

(Boots are so damn important. And Icebreaker is amazing. Right at this moment I’m wearing an Icrebreaker long sleeved 220gm T that I wore on my walk. )

  4. Wow! Congratulations Bill. When you started this blog for family and friends I am sure you had no idea of the impact you would have on so many people across the world. Along with many others in the PGS Family, I continue to be inspired, guided, entertained, informed and supported by this new global family.
As you know, I followed your blog whilst on the Camino – “Breakfast with Bill” was my daily ritual. This has continued and I now have breakfast with the PGS Family. I look forward to that little “ping” on my iPad to let me know something new awaits. Thankyou Bill, for making this all possible.
    Blessings

    • Dear Anne –

that’s so gorgeous of you, thank you!

The thing about this blog – the Camino is really just a stepping off point for an examination of life, and the way you live it.

That’s the incredible thing about he pilgrimage.

And that’s what this blog tries to do, I suppose – examine life through the process of walking to Santiago.

We are born, we grow old, we die. We move in a linear direction, just as the Camino does.
